Warm Edge Thermo Spacer – Glass Thermal Spacer, λ = 0.035 W/mK, Passive House Certified
Thermal spacer with λ = 0.035 W/mK reduces glass edge thermal bridge by 60% vs. classic aluminium (λ = 160 W/mK). Glass edge temperature +4–6°C higher — no condensation near frame.

Key advantages
- Reduces glass edge thermal bridge by ≥ 60% — eliminates visible condensation on glass near frame, the most common aesthetic and hygienic issue
- Glass edge temperature +4–6°C higher — condensation appears at outdoor temperatures 4–6°C lower, practically disappearing in Romanian climate
- Mandatory for Passive House certification — without Warm Edge, window cannot be Passive House certified regardless of profile used
- Available in matt black — perfectly matches black hardware and anthracite profile, the look desired in contemporary architecture
- λ = 0.035 W/mK (TPS/Swisspacer) or 0.16 W/mK (stainless) — choose insulation level based on project requirements
- Included in Neofort BIZ window price — all windows are delivered standard with Warm Edge, no additional costs
The Warm Edge spacer is the internal component of the insulating glass package, responsible for the thermal insulation of the marginal cavity between the glass panes — the most vulnerable zone to thermal bridges in the window assembly. The classic aluminium spacer has thermal conductivity λ = 160 W/mK, approximately 1000 times greater than a TPS Swisspacer (λ = 0.16 W/mK) or Thermix TX.N (λ = 0.035 W/mK) spacer. The direct and visible consequence is that the inner edge temperature of the glass increases by 4–6°C compared to glass with a classic spacer, shifting the condensation threshold several degrees below zero and eliminating the visible condensation strip near the frame on winter nights. Warm Edge glass is mandatory for Passive House certification — Passivhaus Institut Darmstadt requires the spacer to be non-metallic — and recommended for any window with BluEvolution 92, Alumil Supreme or any other premium system profile. Neofort BIZ exclusively installs SGG Planitherm insulating glass with Warm Edge spacer of choice — Swisspacer Ultimate, TGI or Thermix TX.N — included in the window price, without additional costs.
