Interior PVC windowsills and exterior anodised aluminium sills represent the standard finish for any professionally installed window, providing both thermal and waterproof protection of the area below the window and a clean, durable aesthetic appearance. Class A PVC interior sill is available in depths from 20 mm to 400 mm on request, covering any wall thickness from thin apartment walls to the thick walls of externally insulated houses or historic buildings with massive masonry. Resistance to moisture, heat and impact makes Class A PVC the superior solution over marble or laminated MDF, without the risk of swelling or cracking. Exterior anodised aluminium sills are superior to exterior PVC ones in UV resistance (do not become brittle after 5–10 years) and corrosion resistance caused by rainwater with pollutants.
