The PVC renovation frame is the optimal solution for replacing old wooden, degraded PVC or worn aluminium windows without resorting to the costly and disruptive works typical of a complete replacement: breaking plasterwork, repairing masonry, painting and cleaning up. The system works by clipping a special PVC renovation profile directly over the existing frame, creating a new installation surface on which the new window is fixed. The renovation profile is available with a 35 mm wing (for thin existing frame) or 60 mm wing (for more massive frame), both variants ensuring Uw = 0.73 W/m²K and compatibility with triple thermal glazing up to 48 mm. The 5–15% reduction in glazed area compared to total replacement is the only compromise of the method, in exchange for 50% shorter execution time and complete elimination of finish repair costs.
